Included with all new dedicated servers, Symantec Endpoint Protection delivers advanced threat prevention and unmatched defense against malware, viruses and even rootkits. Centrally managed our anti-virus solution is monitored by our system administrators and virus signatures are updated transparently multiple times a day to provide the most up-to-date virus protection available. In addition, Your Symantec Endpoint Protection can also be upgraded to include robust intrusion prevention (IPS) and upgraded rules based firewall protection to provide even a higher level of security and assurance.
Included Firewall
Today security at the server level is of paramount importance and as result host based firewall is enabled on all servers by default.. Each server is deployed with a standard set of firewall rules based on normal Internet Server requirements and you’ll have full control over these rules to enhance them as you see fit. This firewall provides you added security and confidence at no additional cost. If you find the integrated firewall is not sufficient for your needs we can provide dedicated firewall appliances as well.
Proactive & Reactive Service Monitoring
Included with all new Dedicated servers is our automated monitoring of up to 5 key services
(additional services and monitors available). Our monitoring servers will monitor your services
and server(s) every 1-5 minutes (depending on the server/service
type) and notify our team instantly of an outage if the
monitoring system is unable to bring a particular service
back online.
In addition you can have these alerts come to your staff and notify you as well of an issue.
Intrusion Prevention System
Network Firewalls protect you against network attacks but often leave your servers and applications vulnerable to application level attacks. An IPS solution or intrusion prevention
system can protect your applications at the higher level where most attacks occur today. Our network makes use of an IPS solution today through our TopLayer security devices but you may find you need specific rules that may not be feasible in a network wide device. As a result we offer a full suite of IPS solutions.
